Children and Seniors
Many people worry about age restrictions when focusing on the labors of giving back, but there is actually a range of ways an elder and/or a child can aid in giving back.
Children
Teaching your children about the importance of giving back will help build character and shape them into the people they should be! Giving back to the community is already a great thing, but when the youth of a community joins in they are learning about things that can make a difference for them and the future of their community. Children, while they do have limitations, can help with giving back to the community. The things they can do range from helping others learn something new to donating beloved old toys.
While there are limitations, there are so many things children can do like having yard sales (at low prices), donating old clothes and toys, making gardens to grow food for donation, and so much more. Giving back can be the factor that teaches your children compassion and a drive for a better future.
Seniors
Giving back can make a person feel better and liven up their minds. Seniors can volunteer for many things in order to help their neighborhoods and communities. Some of these activities include but are not limited to:
- Donating to charities
- Volunteering for different services
- Contributing to community gardens
- Joining groups that support youth development
