Healthcare is something that is so important and many people can't begin to fathom why. Many people can just afford healthcare and many others cannot. Healthcare, beyond health/life insurance, is very important because even a broken toe can lead to something worse. With something like this in mind wouldn't it be great if everyone could get healthcare?
Many people die every year because they lack health insurance and are refuse any further care because they cannot pay it off. Not to mention, how we lack true care of women and infants. The U.S has higher mortality rates then several other countries and yet there still lacks change to save youth, mothers, and the elderly.
The US has the lowest amount of hospital beds to provide and has the lowest life expectancy among its high-income countries. The US is also the country most notorious for deaths and injuries by assault. Many of the people who die from these attacks are either turned away because cannot afford it or because people were to scared to help them. Either way the us lets many of its people down in the healthcare system. Beyond assault victims, mothers and their newborn babies are the next casualties on the list of unfair healthcare.
Women and children die everyday because many women are now having children too young or too old and often have chronic illnesses like diabetes, obesity, etc that need medical attention on top of pregnancy. It should also be noted that these illnesses have heightened prices due to inflation and they pay for only the smallest portion of medication. With situations like these many women still go without help and without assistance in such terrors.
No person whether they are homeless, pregnant, or even disabled should be denied healthcare. If we want our community to be flourishing and healthy then healthcare is a great start. Healthcare is so important as it saves lives but it also lays them to rest when it is a strong factor denied to a community. This can be helped and it is the form of giving back that will take a long time.
Some ways this situation can be helped is through things like setting up health clinics and supporting money to keep them open. Education of healthcare is also a very needed factor in order for people to maintain and understand their health status and gain access to healthcare.
